The Hino 300 Series claims to make the professional driver’s workspace more comfortable with a balance of functionality, accessibility and comfort. With this latest model Hino applied particular attention to the driving position and the integration of the driver into the cabin.
So we decided to check it out by using the car licence version of the 300 Series as our daily drive around Sydney instead of a car. The refrigerated body made it was great for the doing the groceries and keeping our beer cold during the summer holidays.
Overall we found the cabin and drivability very car like with features such as cruise control and a touch screen. The automatic transmission and hybrid drivetrain worked well together. And once we settled into the different driving style required for a truck, we agreed that it would be a very acceptable workspace.
