We had the chance to catch up with Phil Amos from AR Distribution, who are the Sydney distributors for Caltex lubricants, at the National Diesel Dirt and Turf Expo during April.
So Phil, why is Caltex at the expo?
We’re back for a second time around at this show, but because we relaunched the brand in Australia and it’s very important that we get back out in the marketplace to let people know that we’re back in the market again. There’s a lot of loyal Caltex customers around Australia, particularly in Sydney, where we’re based, and we need to make connection with them and this is one of the best ways to do that.
And what’s you biggest selling product for the audience attending over the three days?
Delo by far. Our focus is Delo, and we’re focused on that because that obviously the Delo brand has been around a long time it’s got a great reputation and and it’s back in the market again and it’s available. So we need to get that message out there and it’s a great brand like Delo has been around a long time.
Does this expo bring you the right customers, the ones you are targeting with the Caltex products and Delo oil?
“You do. There’s a really good mixture of customers too, because you know, you’ve got local councils today, for example, you’ve got people that have got their own businesses, you’ve got larger corporate clients as well. So yeah, there’s a really good mix of people and there’s usually a good crowd so and the weather’s held off so last year was a bit wet. So Well, this year looks looking much better. So and the show’s bigger to it’s grown, compared to just last year like it’s probably another 30% bigger this year in space.”
