Goldstar Transport celebrated its 20th year in business with the delivery of its 100th Mercedes-Benz Actros prime mover.
Perth-based Goldstar Transport kicked off in 2001 with just one truck, growing its fleet to 250 trucks and employing 450 people just two decades later.
Goldstar Transport Managing Director, Sean Carren, took delivery of the company’s 100th Mercedes-Benz truck at a sundowner event celebrating the company’s 20-year milestone in style.
The Mercedes-Benz Actros 2663 happens to also be a 25 Driver Edition model, paying tribute to 25 years of Actros in Australia – a fitting addition to the Goldstar fleet.
Daimler Truck Australia Pacific President and CEO, Daniel Whitehead, congratulated Mr Carren at the event for building such a successful business across the last 20 years.
“Sean is passionate about looking after his customers and he extends the same attitude to the people who work for him. That spirit of support is at the centre of everything Goldstar team does,” said Mr Whitehead.
“Sean is hungry for innovation and excited about operating the safest and most efficient trucks in the market from Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner and Fuso.
“I’d like to congratulate Sean on growing such a great business, which is a real pleasure to deal with, and wish Sean and the whole Goldstar team a very happy 20th anniversary.
Goldstar still has all 100 of the Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks it has purchased since 2016, alongside 27 Freightliner Cascadias and 62 Fuso Fighter and Shogun models.
The transport company was also the first Western Australian operator to introduce an electric truck to its fleet when it rolled out a Fuso eCanter back in 2022.
“Mercedes-Benz make trucks that drivers what to drive, that is why we have 100 of them,” said Mr Carren.
“As a fleet truck there is no better for our most important asset – our people.”
