A total of 4890 Kenworth models have been recalled for a brake system manufacturing issue, in a notice issued by the Department of Infrastructure covering 2023-2024 models.
The notice states: Due to a manufacturing issue, the elbow fitting from the rear spring brake valve to the forward drive axle may not have been tightened to the sufficient torque and could become loose. This may cause unintended brake application whilst driving.
Owners of affected vehicles are urged to immediately contact their preferred Kenworth dealership to have the repair work carried out, free of change.
