Volvo Commercial Vehicles Australia has expanded its dealer and service operations into Northern New South Wales, strengthening support for truck operators travelling along the Pacific Highway and throughout the Northern Rivers region.
The expansion into the Lismore and Coffs Harbour areas is effective immediately and forms part of Volvo Group Australia’s broader investment in its commercial vehicle dealer network.
The move will extend support for customers operating Mack, Volvo and UD trucks across one of Australia’s busiest freight corridors.
Greg Sargeant, Dealer Principal at Volvo Commercial Vehicles Australia, said the company’s growing presence in the region would improve access to servicing, repairs and customer support.
“With a new state-of-the-art dealership and workshop currently under construction on the Gold Coast and the support of a committed team, VCV is now perfectly positioned to take care of customers plying one of Australia’s busiest freight routes, the Pacific Highway,” Sargeant said.
“We feel the timing of this expansion is perfect for both our customers and our business.”
Greater support along the Pacific Highway
The Pacific Highway is a critical road freight connection between Brisbane and Sydney, with fleets relying on access to regional service and breakdown support to maintain vehicle availability.
Volvo Commercial Vehicles Australia said the expansion would help it deliver support across the entire length of the highway while strengthening its presence in the Northern Rivers.
“We continue to invest heavily in our dealer network to ensure we can deliver the best possible solutions and outcomes for customers across all three of our brands for the entire length of the Pacific Highway and throughout the Northern Rivers region,” Sargeant said.
“This expansion represents an exciting opportunity for our business and our customers.”
Customers operating in and around Coffs Harbour will also receive additional assistance from Coffs Harbour Diesel Service, which will support the VCV breakdown and service team.
The regional support arrangement is expected to provide operators with greater access to maintenance and roadside assistance, helping fleets reduce downtime when vehicles are working between major metropolitan areas.
Gold Coast dealership under construction
The Northern NSW expansion is being supported by Volvo Commercial Vehicles Australia’s new Gold Coast dealership and workshop, which is currently under construction.
The facility is expected to be fully operational by mid-2027 and will provide another major service point for customers operating through South-East Queensland and Northern NSW.
Volvo Group Australia has continued to invest in its Australian dealership and manufacturing network, which supports metropolitan and regional customers across the country.
The company employs more than 1,400 people nationally, while more than 80 Australian suppliers benefit from local truck production.
Mack and Volvo trucks manufactured at Volvo Group Australia’s Wacol facility in Brisbane carry Australian Made certification. Volvo Group Australia is also the authorised Australian distributor for UD Trucks.
Sargeant also acknowledged the contribution of Southside Trucks during the transition.

The expansion reinforces the importance of regional dealer coverage as freight operators seek to maximise vehicle uptime and maintain reliable access to parts, servicing and technical support outside Australia’s capital cities.
