Three young truck mechanics have been recognised for their skill, dedication, and potential as the winners of the 2025 Cummins Young Tech Awards, presented by the Australian Trucking Association (ATA).
The awards are designed to foster the expertise of emerging mechanics and service technicians, including apprentices, at a time when demand on the industry is particularly high.
“With the end of year trucking season upon us and retailers and trucking operators working hard to meet the growing demand for online shopping and express delivery, it has never been more critical to keep the nation’s trucks in peak operating condition,” ATA Chair Mark Parry said.
Thanks to Cummins Asia Pacific, the winners will receive full registrations to the 2025 Technology and Maintenance Conference (TMC), taking place from 14–15 October at Melbourne Showgrounds. Their achievements will be recognised on the main stage during the conference opening, and they will also tour two Cummins plants in Victoria ahead of the event.

Cummins Manager of On-Highway Sales and Customer Support, Scott Alexander, said the program highlights the essential role of service technicians.
“Young service technicians are the future of our industry, and programs like this are essential to equipping them with the skills, confidence and support they need to thrive in workshop environments,” he said.
At TMC 25, Cummins technical experts will also deliver sessions on the X15D Euro VI engine’s after-treatment system, wheel-end maintenance from an axle perspective, and showcase the company’s HELM fuel agnostic platform.
