Centurion Transport has secured a significant new five-year contract with Australia Post to manage freight delivery across three key regions of Western Australia—Central, Goldfields, and the North West.
Under the deal, Centurion will be responsible for transporting parcels and mailbags between Perth and regional post offices in towns including Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Geraldton, Port Hedland, Broome and Kununurra.
The partnership builds on Centurion’s long-standing presence in regional WA, where it has been operating for more than 50 years.
“This agreement reflects Centurion’s commitment to supporting essential freight movements across regional Western Australia. It highlights the strength of our network and our capability to service some of the most remote communities in the country,” said Centurion’s Executive General Manager of Business Development, Damain Bishop.
Efficiency Through Consolidation
A key benefit of the agreement is the ability to consolidate mail and parcel deliveries into Centurion’s existing transport runs, which helps deliver a more efficient and consistent service to local communities.
“Our roots are in regional WA. We’ve built our network over five decades to deliver safely, reliably and regularly to even the most remote parts of the state,” said Centurion CEO Justin Cardaci.
“Working with Australia Post is a great fit because it allows us to continue doing what we do best—serving regional communities.”
Strong Start to Operations
Centurion began operating the new contract in mid-March 2025 and has already demonstrated strong delivery performance, with positive feedback from both Australia Post’s operational and retail teams.
“Centurion’s experience in regional transport in WA was a significant advantage when we worked through the selection process,” said Rod Barnes, Executive General Manager Network Operations at Australia Post.
“Their teams understand the demands of remote delivery and have already demonstrated they can deliver with care and consistency, providing our customers and communities with a reliable service.”
Commitment to Regional Communities
The contract reflects a shared commitment between Centurion and Australia Post to maintaining high-quality delivery services, even in some of Australia’s most isolated regions.
Under the agreement, Centurion is providing direct deliveries to regional post offices and handling returns to Perth from regional towns.
By leveraging its extensive transport network and deep understanding of regional WA logistics, Centurion is well-positioned to support Australia Post’s mission of keeping remote communities connected.
