Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) is delighted to announce the appointment of John Walker as its new Head of Marketing and Customer Experience.
Mr Walker has been elevated to the role after having served two years as IALās Digital Marketing Manager, working across a range of digital transformation and customer projects.
IAL Director and Chief Executive Officer, Phil Taylor, said Mr Walkerās promotion was a strategic move to further strengthen the organisationās strong marketing and communications offering.

With a storied background in marketing, across brands such as telecommunications provider Optus Business (catering to enterprise and government) and national technology services provider Anittel, Mr Walker is experienced in national brand management, digital operations, customer relations management, and integrated multichannel customer programs.
Thrilled at the opportunity to spearhead IALās marketing, Mr Walker outlined the new direction in IALās marketing approach.
Mr Walker shared, āIām really excited about the opportunities ahead, especially to re-evaluate our customersā key requirements and how they engage with us, what with the changing nature of the Australian freight task.
āWith regard to customer engagement and touchpoint processes, the automotive and transport industry is currently behind other industriesā best practice standards. When you consider industries like banking and contemporary retail, customers not only demand greater levels of personalisation, but also timely and meaningful communication from their favourite brands.ā
Mr Walkerās time as Digital Marketing Manager has brought great change, something heās determined to further develop and build on.
āOver the last two years at IAL, weāve been focused on evolving our digital customer engagement. This includes website, automation, content production, social media interaction, online advertising, and other customer-focused projects. Moving forward weāll continue to develop and expand these customer experience programs across the business to ensure best practice,ā Mr Walker said.
Mr Walkerās appointment comes as IAL heads towards an unprecedented three consecutive decades of truck market leadership.
