Scania Australia has expanded its national footprint with the opening of a brand-new company-owned dealership in Hope Valley, Western Australia. The state-of-the-art facility, located at 6 Armstrong Road, marks a significant investment in Scania’s service and parts infrastructure, doubling the company’s operational capacity in the west.
Positioned south of Perth in the City of Kwinana, the 19,000 m² site includes a 3,500 m² regional warehouse and a purpose-built sales and service centre, geared to support both on-road customers and the demanding requirements of WA’s off-road mining and resources sector.
Meeting Demand in the West
“Demand for Scania products has been increasing significantly in The West over the past decade,” said Michael Berti, Dealer Director for WA, SA and NT. “We were very much in need of additional service and parts facilities to maintain our customers’ uptime, and that of our projected conquests over the medium term.”
This new site supplements Scania’s existing facility in Kewdale and replaces the Welshpool parts warehouse, offering more than double the warehousing floorspace and storage height. With a larger footprint and optimised operational flow, the Hope Valley warehouse now has the capacity to process up to three containers at a time, compared to just one previously.
“We will be holding more product lines to cope with the expansion of our growing truck, bus and engines product, and to meet the needs of our time-critical mining customers,” said Matthew Pol, Scania’s National Parts Manager.
Built for the Future – and BEVs
The Hope Valley facility is not just about scale; it’s also about preparing for a more electric future. The site has been engineered with sufficient electrical capacity and underground preparations for EV fast-charging infrastructure, and includes a climate-controlled clean room to support battery cell repairs.
“This is a logical step for us to maintain high levels of customer uptime and to further encourage the uptake of repair and maintenance contracts,” said Scania Australia Managing Director Manfred Streit.
Scania’s connected services strategy also underpins the investment, enabling precise vehicle performance monitoring and optimised maintenance scheduling. “By increasing the capacity for regular maintenance in our own workshops, our customers will have access to the most advanced in-service vehicle management available,” said Streit.

Designed Around the Customer
The Hope Valley branch is fully equipped with three large work bays and a maintenance pit long enough to service WA’s iconic multi-trailer combinations, such as B-triples, without decoupling. The site is designed for ease of access by vehicles up to 36.5 metres in length, and includes testing equipment for suspension, braking and steering components.
Importantly for customers running complex vehicles, the new site offers service support for trailers, construction and vocational trucks (such as jetvacs and fire appliances), delivering a true one-stop-shop experience.
“The new location is well positioned to support many of our customers in the busy City of Kwinana port area,” said Michael Phipps, newly appointed Branch Manager at Hope Valley. “We’ve assembled a team of enthusiastic technicians and parts specialists, and we’re confident they will deliver maximum uptime for our customers.”
Drivers won’t be left out either, with a comfortable lounge and resting areas for those waiting on vehicle servicing. The workshop will operate from Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5.00pm.
A Strategic Growth Move
The official handover of the Hope Valley site occurred in May 2025, just 14 months after ground was broken in March 2024. The site began trading on 9 June and formally opened on 26 June.
With this expansion, Scania now operates ten company-owned branches across Australia, including three in Victoria, two each in NSW, Queensland and WA, and one in South Australia. Additional sales support is provided in Tasmania, and more than 60 authorised independent dealers support customers nationwide.
The move also supports jobs and economic growth in WA. “The new Scania dealership has created new jobs for West Australians and of course Scania is investing in the local economy with the new site and the increased business it will develop as a result,” said Michael Berti.
Fit for WA’s Unique Conditions
For fleet buyers and operators across mining, logistics and public transport sectors, the Hope Valley site signals Scania’s long-term commitment to supporting productivity, uptime and innovation in Western Australia.
From its expanded parts storage and BEV-readiness to its WA-style truck pit and trailer servicing capabilities, Hope Valley has been purpose-built for the challenges and opportunities of transport in the West.
