Isuzu Australia Limited has officially launched its all-new MY25 truck range, rolling out more than 200 new models across light, medium and heavy-duty segments in what the company describes as a once-in-a-generation product renewal.
The timing of the launch was closely tied to the introduction of new Australian Design Rules, which set higher benchmarks for safety and emissions and prompted a full reset of product line-ups across the truck industry.
Director and Chief Operating Officer Andrew Harbison said the regulatory shift created a clear moment for Isuzu to renew its entire offering.
“The introduction of the new ADRs was the trigger for the launch of our all-new MY25 truck range in Australia and for Isuzu, this was a once in a generation model release,” Harbison said.
Rather than a staged update, Isuzu undertook a broad and coordinated rollout, bringing the MY25 range to market over a 12-month period. The scope of the launch covered every major weight category, reflecting the diversity of applications the brand serves across urban delivery, construction, local government and long-haul operations.
Harbison acknowledged the pressure that comes with introducing a new range while holding a long-standing leadership position.
“With our record atop the Australian truck sales race extending back to 1989, there’s a lot of pressure and expectation with every product we bring to market,” he said.
“Our brand tagline, ‘Reliability is Everything’ sets a very public standard that we must ensure all our products live up to.”
From dealer preview to public debut
The MY25 range was first shown to dealers and customers last year, before its public unveiling at the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show. Head of Sales Craig White said the response leading into the sales launch provided early confidence.
“It’s been an absolutely huge year for us, starting with our dealer and customer launch of our new range back in March, which was hotly followed by our grand public unveiling and display at the 2025 Brisbane Truck Show,” White said.
Sales of the new range commenced in the second half of 2025, coinciding with a broader slowdown in the Australian truck market. Despite that backdrop, Isuzu said interest in the MY25 line-up remained strong across all segments.
“The real test of course was the start of sales in the second half of the year – the interest from across the industry that we had in the lead up to this gave us great confidence,” White said.
Built for a changing operating environment
Isuzu has positioned the MY25 range as a response not only to regulatory change, but also to evolving customer expectations around safety, efficiency and whole-of-life performance. The company says the scale of the rollout reflects the growing complexity of fleet requirements and operating conditions.
“Competition gets tighter and tighter; the operating environment continues to grow in complexity and our customers’ demands evolve with technological and industry requirements,” Harbison said.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing new products and services to market, designed to assist and support our customers as partners in their heavy commercial vehicle needs.”
