Isuzu Australia Limited (IAL) saw a 30 percent increase in service agreement uptake last year, as customers prioritise cost management and vehicle uptime for their fleets.
The Isuzu service agreements include a scheduled monthly fee for easy budgeting, and the packages are backed by the truckmaker’s six-year warranty on cab and chassis and three-year parts and accessory warranty.
“Customers want to manage costs but also ensure vehicles are on the road as much as possible delivering for their businesses,” said IAL National Service Business Manager, Glenn Jones.
“The total number of years committed in 2024 equates to an average of four and a half years of service cover per truck sold with an agreement.”
Isuzu offers three levels of service agreements on trucks up to 72 months of age, depending on the needs of customers. Alongside this is the Isuzu Heritage agreement, which caters to vehicles between three and fifteen years of age.
With the new Isuzu Euro 6 model lineup launching soon, the growth of service agreement uptake is expected to continue.
“The new models have a raft of new technologies and other improvements that fully trained service technicians at Isuzu dealerships know and understand,” said Mr Jones.
“This, coupled with a service agreement’s budgeting and scheduling advantages, all make for a compelling proposition.”
