NTI Limited, one of Australia’s leading transport and logistics specialist insurers, has announced the appointment of Janelle Greene as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2025.
Ms Greene, who is currently serving as NTI’s Chief Customer Officer, will succeed long-serving CEO Tony Clark. Mr Clark will remain involved with the business as Managing Director until mid-2026, providing continuity and support during the leadership transition.
The appointment signals a new era for NTI as the business continues to evolve alongside the changing needs of the transport and logistics sectors.
Building on a decade of leadership
Ms Greene brings extensive experience to the role, having worked across NTI’s business over the past 10 years. As Chief Customer Officer, she has been responsible for shaping the strategic direction of NTI’s underwriting, customer experience, marketing, business insights, pricing and portfolio management teams.
Her earlier leadership included key roles in NTI’s claims and operations teams, as well as managing large-scale projects such as the Seahawk (Marine) program and Mobile Plant (Yellow) initiative.
“Janelle brings extensive experience in strategy, project oversight, and cultural and business transformations to the CEO position,” said Ellie Comerford, Chairperson of the NTI Board.
“Since joining NTI 10 years ago, she has earned the respect and admiration of her NTI colleagues, as well as those in the insurance and transport and logistics industries, with her leadership, commitment to continuous improvement, and desire to deeply understand customers and their experiences.”
A clear vision for the future
Ms Greene said she is looking forward to leading NTI through its next chapter.
“I’m excited to be leading an organisation filled with outstanding people who truly love what they do and are passionate about working hard and making a positive difference when things get tough for Australian businesses and families,” Ms Greene said.
“NTI has so many strengths—our people, our values and purpose, our deep connections with industry—and we will continue to build on them into the future.”
A legacy of leadership
Mr Clark has served as NTI’s CEO for the past 18 years and played a pivotal role in establishing the company as Australia’s market leader in specialist transport insurance.
“It’s been an honour to be CEO, and now I wish Janelle all the very best as she takes the organisation forward—it’s in very capable hands,” Mr Clark said.
“I have genuinely loved coming to work during my time with NTI. Even when we faced tough market conditions, issues within our industries, the pandemic and more, the Executive and all NTI People always banded together and found a solution.”
A strong industry track record
NTI has a strong reputation within the transport and logistics sector and broader insurance industry. The company recently received the 2025 Insurance Business Claims Team of the Year award, the 2024 Specialty Mansfield award, and the ANZIIF Underwriting Agency of the Year award. NTI is also consistently recognised as an Aon Hewitt Best Employer.
Ms Greene’s background includes consulting roles with Bupa, Rio Tinto and QSuper, and prior positions at Suncorp, Morgan Stanley London and Allied Irish Bank in Dublin. She holds a Bachelor of International Business, a Master of Business Administration, and multiple professional accreditations in leadership and insurance.
As fleets across Australia face an evolving risk environment—including increasing compliance pressures, driver shortages and the push toward decarbonisation—strong leadership from insurance partners like NTI remains critical.
Ms Greene’s appointment ensures continuity and a clear focus on customer outcomes for transport operators and fleet managers navigating these challenges.
