A new national repairer network has been launched to help businesses get back to work faster when critical machinery breaks down.
Specialist transport and logistics insurer NTI has introduced a dedicated Mobile Plant and Equipment (MPE) Repairer Network, designed to streamline repairs and keep essential industries moving.
Supporting industries that rely on uptime
From excavators and dump trucks to dozers and drilling rigs, mobile plant and equipment form the backbone of Australia’s construction, mining, agriculture, and civil industries. A breakdown can bring projects to a halt, often with significant financial consequences.
NTI’s National Manager, Repairer Networks, Adam Craft, said the new network is built around speed, quality, and trust.
“These machines are relied upon by contractors, owner-operators, plant hire businesses, quarry operators, and farmers. We know how critical this equipment is to our customers, so we’ve built a network that prioritises speed, quality, and trust,” Mr Craft said.
Industry-backed accreditation process
Over the past year, NTI worked with industry experts to develop a national accreditation process to ensure repairers meet high standards. To qualify, repairers must:
- Have at least 10 years’ trading history in plant and equipment repairs
- Demonstrate proven technical capability
- Align with NTI’s customer-first values
Ongoing training and quality reviews will ensure standards remain consistent as the network grows.
“These repairers don’t just fix machines, they help get livelihoods back on track,” Mr Craft said.
Trusted repairers already onboard
Queensland-based RD Williams is one of the first repairers accredited under the new program.
RD Williams General Manager, Fred Carlsson, said: “In this industry, time is everything. When a machine goes down, work stops, and so does income. We understand what’s truly at stake for customers. It’s about delivering trusted, high-quality repairs with the speed and professionalism our customers need to keep moving.”
“RD Williams have partnered with NTI for more than 20 years, and we’re proud to be among the first accredited in the repairer network.”
Expanding across the country
Repairers have already been accredited across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and South Australia. NTI plans to expand the network nationwide over the coming months, offering operators in every state access to accredited repairers.
The initiative is designed to support a wide range of businesses, from pool builders and landscapers to tree loppers, fencers, earthmovers, and mining operators.
