For the first time in history, teams from both Australia and New Zealand will compete together on the world stage at the Mack Masters Global Championship Finals this November.
The Mack Masters competition brings together dealership service, warranty, and parts professionals in a series of rigorous challenges designed to sharpen aftersales expertise, build teamwork, and ultimately improve customer satisfaction. The 2025 finals will be staged in Allentown and New York, showcasing the very best talent from across the globe.
A Trans-Tasman First
This year marks a milestone with New Zealand joining the Mack Masters competition for the first time. The Barking Mack team from Truckstops Whangarei has emerged as the inaugural New Zealand champion.
“It’s a privilege to have a New Zealand team included in this Global competition,” said Scott Holt, General Manager for Mack Trucks in New Zealand. “Our service network through Truckstops has embraced Mack Masters, to not only showcase their passion for the brand and to compete on the world stage, but to improve knowledge and skills to better support our customers.”
Australian Teams Join the Line-Up
Two Australian teams will also fly the flag at the finals. VMAC_IV+ from VCV Sydney Prestons and Night Riders from VCV Brisbane North proved their strength after weeks of intense competition, which culminated in a sudden death round due to record numbers of teams achieving perfect scores.
Tony O’Connell, Vice President, Mack Trucks Australia, said the competition is a fitting showcase of the talent in local dealerships.
“Our dealerships are home to some of the most skilled and dedicated professionals in the industry, and Mack Masters is the perfect stage to showcase that. Having two Australian teams and our very first New Zealand team heading to the U.S makes this year particularly special. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way, and we’re confident they’ll do us proud.”
Growing Strength of Mack Masters
Martin Jerresand, Vice President Service Market and Retail, Volvo Group Australia, highlighted the competition’s growth.
“Mack Masters is more than a competition — it’s an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to showcase the incredible depth of knowledge and teamwork across our dealer network. This year we had record registration numbers ever in Australia, and now, with New Zealand joining the competition for the first time, the excitement has reached new heights.”
The Global Stage Awaits
The Global Championship Finals will see the finalists face demanding, hands-on workshop tasks under pressure, testing both technical skill and teamwork. For Australian and New Zealand teams, it’s a chance not only to represent their country, but to demonstrate the strength of the region’s service expertise to the world.
