Brisbane Truck Show organisers, the Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia (HVIA), have added a second event to the trucking calendar with Truck Show X set to deliver a conference and drive experience for zero-emission transport solutions.
Truck Show X aims to unpack and explain the interconnected ecosystem of equipment, infrastructure, services, regulations, policies and people required to drive the transport industry towards a zero-emission future.
The event will be held at Cape Shanck in Victoria, where attendees will be expose to all things high-voltage haulage across two packed days featuring presentations from global innovators, practical case studies from local success stories, and a showcase of the latest technology on offer.
A drive experience will also be undertaken on public roads around the RACV Cape Shank Resort on the stunning Mornington Peninsula, giving attendees the opportunity to try as many as 16 low- and zero-emission vehicles.
A range of zero-emission vehicles will be available to test drive, among them the Volvo heavy-duty FMe and medium-duty FLe, Kenworth hydrogen fuel cell T680 prime mover, DAF electric LF, Mercedes-Benz eActros and Fuso eCanter.
Alongside the major OEMs, emerging players like Foton, SEA Electric, Hyzon and Revora will have electric options on show at the event.
Some vehicles will require attendees to ride shotgun, while others will put them in the driver’s seat, offering a rare insight into emerging technology set to take the road transport industry by storm.
