Uniden Australia has confirmed a new partnership with the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series for the 2026 season, expanding its involvement in one of the country’s most competitive support categories.
The agreement will see Uniden activate across the six-round calendar, with a trackside presence alongside retail partners and fan engagement initiatives. The brand will also feature inside selected V8 SuperUtes through onboard camera angles designed to provide additional close-up driver views during race broadcasts.
Brad Hales, Head of Marketing Oceania at Uniden, said the category aligns closely with the brand’s positioning.
“V8 SuperUtes is one of the most rugged and high-energy categories in Australian motorsport, and we’re proud to partner with the championship for 2026,” Hales said. “It’s a natural fit for Uniden and the drivers and fans who live and breathe performance, reliability and life on the road.”
Filippa Guarna, Category Manager at the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series, said the partnership would support teams and strengthen links with the broader automotive market.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Uniden to the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series for 2026. Partnerships like this help strengthen the category for teams and enthusiasts alike, as well as our associations with the automotive market, and Uniden is genuinely committed to the championship and growth of this sport,” Guarna said.
In addition to the category-wide partnership, Uniden will support driver Christopher ‘Jazz Hands’ Formosa and the family-run Allgate Racing team throughout the season. Formosa said the backing represents an important step for the team.
“Allgate Racing is family-run, and we’ve worked hard to earn our place on the grid. Having Uniden on board for 2026 is huge, and we can’t wait to represent the brand on track,” Formosa said.
Formosa and Allgate Motorsport began competing in the final season of V8 Ute racing in 2017 before progressing into the inaugural diesel SuperUte Series. The category evolved into the V8 SuperUte Series in 2021, where the team continues to compete. Alongside the SuperUte program, Formosa has also raced in TA2 and Trans Am competition, as well as a round of Mazda RX-8 Cup.
Further race weekend activity and partner announcements are expected across the 2026 calendar.
