Volvo Group Australia has appointed Cameron Bettany as Vice President, UD Trucks & Government Sales and Marketing.
The new role combines responsibility for UD Trucks and Government Sales under one leadership structure, with Volvo Group Australia saying the move will support brand growth, stronger government engagement and long-term commercial opportunities.
Bettany has been leading UD Trucks Sales and Marketing in an acting capacity while continuing his Government Sales responsibilities. His permanent appointment follows what the company described as a period of stability and commercial leadership across both portfolios.
In the expanded role, Bettany will oversee the continued development of the UD Trucks brand in Australia while strengthening relationships with government, emergency services and dealer partners.
“It is a privilege to take on this role and continue working alongside our customers, dealer partners, government stakeholders, and employees,” Bettany said.
“UD Trucks has a proud heritage and a strong future, and I look forward to building on the momentum already established across both portfolios.
“Together, we will continue to strengthen our customer relationships, expand strategic partnerships, and deliver solutions that create long-term value for our customers and communities.”
The appointment places particular focus on customer-centred solutions, market presence and identifying new opportunities across the government and emergency-services sectors.
Volvo Group Australia said the leadership change reflects its ongoing investment in organisational capability and continuity, while positioning the business to support customers and build UD Trucks’ market presence in Australia.
