Repco has confirmed a renewed multi-year agreement to continue as a premium partner of the Shell V‑Power Racing Team, extending one of Supercars’ longest-running commercial relationships.
The extension will see Repco and the team mark a decade of partnership during the 2027 Supercars season. Under the renewed deal, the Repco brand will continue to feature on the rear quarter panels of the team’s Ford Mustangs competing in the Repco Supercars Championship.
For the 2026 season, the team will field two Mustangs driven by Brodie Kostecki and Supercars rookie Rylan Gray. Kostecki will take over the team’s well-known #17 entry, while Gray will race the #38, the number Kostecki carried during his first season with the team.
Repco Chief Merchandise and Growth Officer Wayne Bryant said the continuation of the partnership reflected a long-standing alignment between the two organisations.
“Our partnership with DJ and the team will notch up ten years in 2027, a milestone we are all very proud of,” Bryant said.
He added that the relationship complements Repco’s broader involvement in the category, including its naming rights to the Repco Supercars Championship and the Repco Bathurst 1000.
The Shell V-Power Racing Team, founded by Dick Johnson in 1980, is the longest-serving team in Supercars and one of the most successful in the sport’s history. The Queensland-based outfit has secured seven Australian Touring Car Championship/Supercars titles and four Bathurst 1000 victories.
The partnership also carries a personal connection for Johnson, who worked at a Repco store in Woolloongabba during the early stages of his motorsport career. The role helped support his racing ambitions, including maintaining the FJ Holden that launched his path into professional competition.
Shell V-Power Racing Team CEO Megan Foster said the renewal highlighted the value of long-term relationships in motorsport.
“There’s a lot to be said about loyalty in motorsport, and to know that we’ll be celebrating a decade of partnership in 2027 is something that means so much to us,” Foster said.
She added that the extended agreement would also deliver new initiatives for fans and members in the coming seasons, with plans already underway for 2026 and beyond.
The opening round of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship is scheduled to be held at Sydney Motorsport Park.
