IVECO used the launch of its updated Daily range in Adelaide in March to showcase a range of interior upgrades designed to improve the driver experience in its light commercial vehicle.
During the launch event, media and industry guests were able to test the updated models on a drive program that highlighted changes to the vehicle’s digital technology, cabin ergonomics and overall driver comfort.
The updates reflect a broader shift in the commercial vehicle sector, where manufacturers are placing greater emphasis on driver satisfaction, usability and connectivity as fleets compete to attract and retain drivers.
Digital dashboard introduced
One of the most noticeable changes inside the Daily is the introduction of a new fully digital instrument cluster.
The system uses a 10-inch configurable display that allows drivers to customise screen layouts and access key vehicle information in a clearer format than traditional analogue gauges.
The upgrade forms part of a broader digital cockpit update that also includes a new 10-inch multimedia system.
The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, enabling drivers to access navigation, calls and media through their smartphone.
Wireless and wired charging options are also available, reflecting the increasing reliance on mobile devices by drivers and fleet operators.

Keyless entry and simplified operation
The updated Daily also introduces new convenience features aimed at making daily operation easier for drivers who regularly enter and exit the vehicle during delivery or service work.
These include push-button start and a keyless entry and go system that allows the vehicle to be unlocked and started without removing the key from a pocket.
For operators in industries such as courier delivery, maintenance services and utilities, these small improvements can save time and reduce driver frustration over the course of a working day.
Focus on long-shift comfort
Comfort was another focus of the Daily update presented in Adelaide. The vehicle now features new memory-foam seat construction combined with suspension seating designed to improve support during long periods behind the wheel.
IVECO says the memory-foam seat design is a first for the light commercial vehicle segment and is intended to improve pressure distribution and reduce driver fatigue.
Cabin ergonomics have also been refined to make controls easier to reach and improve overall driving comfort.

Designed for fleet environments
While many of the updates resemble technology now common in passenger vehicles, they have been introduced with commercial fleet use in mind.
Drivers of service vans and delivery vehicles may spend long shifts in the vehicle and rely heavily on navigation, communications and digital tools to complete their tasks.
The addition of larger displays, improved connectivity and more comfortable seating reflects the increasing role of the commercial vehicle cabin as a mobile workplace.
Launch drive highlights updates
The Adelaide launch drive program allowed participants to experience the upgraded interior features alongside the Daily’s updated safety systems and payload capabilities.
The Daily continues to be offered in multiple van and cab-chassis configurations across a wide range of weight categories, supporting a variety of fleet applications.
While the vehicle’s heavy-duty chassis and payload capacity remain key selling points, the digital cockpit and comfort upgrades demonstrated during the launch indicate that driver experience is becoming an increasingly important focus for light commercial vehicles.
