Fuso customers in Tasmania will soon be supported by a familiar name, with AJL taking over the sales and service of Fuso trucks and buses from early next year.
The move sees AJL â already representing Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner â add Fuso to its operations across the state, uniting all three Daimler Truck brands under one dealer network. The local company will provide sales and service support from its existing Burnie, Hobart, and Devonport facilities, with a new Launceston site due to open in early 2026.
Daimler Truck Australia Pacific Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Operations, Andrew Assimo, said Fuso customers will be well supported under the new arrangement.
âOur Tasmanian Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner customers are thrilled with the support they are receiving from AJL, so weâre really excited to have them now looking after our Fuso customers,â Assimo said.
âThe AJL team is investing heavily to make sure our Fuso customers will have the support they need to get the job done.â
Vice President of Aftersales and Network Operations, Antonio Briceño, said the appointment ensures continuity for Tasmanian operators who rely on Daimler Truck brands.
âAJL runs a great operation that has a sharp focus on keeping customers moving, so we are really pleased to have them look after our Fuso customers,â Briceño said.
He also acknowledged the contribution of CJD Equipment, which has represented Fuso in Tasmania for more than 25 years.
âWeâd like to thank CJD for looking after our Fuso customers in Tasmania. The CJD team has always been great to work with.â
With the addition of Fuso, AJL will soon offer Daimler Truckâs full suite of products and services across Tasmania â a significant step for local transport operators seeking a single point of contact for sales, service, and support across all three brands.
