Road Freight NSW has announced Ainsleigh Thomas, National Fleet and Equipment Project and Stakeholder Lead at Australia Post, as the winner of the Emerging Leader Award at the 2025 Road Freight NSW Conference and Awards.
At just 28, Ainsleigh has already carved out an impressive career in the transport industry. She began her journey as a motorbike postie in northern New South Wales and has since progressed through a variety of roles to now lead fleet and equipment projects on a national scale. Her career path reflects a deep commitment to both professional growth and the broader freight and logistics community.
In accepting the award, Ainsleigh acknowledged the support she has received along the way, particularly from mentors and industry programs that helped shape her career. She credited the Transport Women Australia network and the ATA Future Leaders Program for playing a vital role in her development.
“I’ve spent the last 10 years with Australia Post, and I’ve loved every second of it. I started as a motorbike postie and now hold the role of National Fleet and Equipment Project and Stakeholder Lead. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people who supported me and the opportunities provided through Transport Women and the ATA Future Leaders program,” Ainsleigh said.
The Emerging Leader Award recognises individuals who are making significant contributions early in their careers, demonstrating leadership, innovation, and commitment to the future of the freight industry.
