IVECO Trucks Australia has announced two executive appointments as it continues to focus on customer experience, fleet sales and aftersales support across its light, medium and heavy vehicle portfolio.
James Johnson has been promoted to National Manager of Fleet, while Barry Woods has been appointed Head of Customer Services. Both appointments are effective immediately.
Johnson previously held the role of National Manager – Retail and Fleet Sales LCV at IVECO and brings more than 27 years’ experience in the commercial vehicle and automotive sectors.
In his new role, Johnson will take responsibility for the fleet sales function across IVECO’s full Australian product range. This includes light vans and cab chassis, medium-duty vehicles, and heavy-duty applications up to 90t GCM B-Double prime movers.
His remit also extends to IVECO’s off-road vehicle range, including the Daily 4×4, Eurocargo 4×4 and T-Way models in 4×4, 6×6, 8×4 and 8×8 configurations.
Barry Woods joins the Australian leadership team after previously serving as Dealer Principal of IVECO New Zealand for five years. In that role, he oversaw sales, service, parts support and customer service operations.
IVECO Trucks Australia Managing Director Glen Dyer said the appointments would support the company’s customer-focused growth plans.
“Since beginning with us in 2024, James has had a positive impact on our team and customers thanks to his strong understanding and passion for the fleet segment,” Glen Dyer, Managing Director at IVECO Trucks Australia, said.
“His combination of leadership skills, strategic thinking and deep commitment to driving sales growth and customer satisfaction, makes him a fantastic advocate of the IVECO brand.”
Dyer said Woods’ appointment reflected the importance of aftersales support in keeping customers productive and supported throughout the ownership lifecycle.
“Barry brings a wealth of leadership experience along with strong expertise on customer quality and experience, making him an ideal fit to guide the aftersales team and to drive continuity while further developing efficiencies across our parts and service operations,” Glen Dyer, Managing Director at IVECO Trucks Australia, said.
The appointments come as IVECO continues a new product rollout phase in Australia, including the recent launch of its latest medium-duty Eurocargo range and new Daily van and cab chassis models, with further product activity to follow.
IVECO Australia offers light, medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, including the Daily van and cab chassis, Eurocargo, ACCO and S-Way. It also has a broad off-road line-up covering Daily 4×4, Eurocargo 4×4 and T-Way variants.
The company is also continuing to explore alternative fuels and propulsion systems in Australia, including trials of its battery electric eDaily models with local fleets.
