Road Freight NSW has announced an exclusive new partnership with Shell Card, delivering fuel savings normally reserved for big business and bulk deliveries.
For the first time in an industry association, members can now access Terminal Gate Pricing (TGP) at key truck stops across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. TGP is the benchmark price used for bulk fuel deliveries, and now transport businesses of all sizes can benefit from the same competitive rates.
“This is a game-changing offer that puts our members on equal footing with the largest operators,” said Road Freight NSW Chairman, Austin Vella. “Fuel is one of the biggest costs in our industry, and savings like these make a real difference to business sustainability.”
Competitive savings on main freight routes
The deal is targeted at operators travelling the state’s busiest freight corridors, including Sydney Metro, the Hume Highway, Newcastle, Wollongong, and Brisbane routes. Members will see average savings in excess of 20 cents per litre compared to pump prices at participating truck stops.
For fleets that operate nationally, the offer also provides:
- 9.5c per litre discount at Shell’s 260+ truck stops across Australia
- 6c per litre discount at over 1,500 non-truck stop sites
- Zero card fees for Road Freight NSW members, regardless of fleet size
Rewards for business owners and drivers
Beyond fuel discounts, members benefit from a range of extras:
- Flybuys points can be earned at both business and driver levels, meaning the company and individual drivers both gain rewards from the same litre of fuel.
- American Express rewards integration, allowing points to transfer to Qantas or Velocity programs.
- Free coffee for members at designated truck stops.
- 20% discount on lubricants, oils and greases via Viva Energy’s online store.
