Perth Truck Transmission Services has expanded its partnership with ZF, becoming the latest Australian workshop to join the ZF [pro]Service network. The move extends its service offering beyond trucks to now include bus fleets, with a focus on automatic transmissions.
As a newly appointed [pro]Service partner, the Malaga-based business can now provide bus operators across Perth and surrounding areas with expert maintenance, diagnostics, and technical support for ZF’s Ecomat and EcoLife automatic transmissions.
Dealer Principal Ashley Purcell said the agreement strengthens the company’s long-standing relationship with ZF.
“We are very proud to be awarded the extension to our ZF service agreement to include diagnostic and in-vehicle service for automatic transmissions, supporting bus operators in Perth and across regional Western Australia.”
What [pro]Service Means for Operators
The ZF [pro]Service program combines the former ZF Service Point and WABCO Service Point initiatives into a single network designed to prepare workshops for the next generation of vehicle technologies.
For fleet operators, the benefits include:
- Advanced diagnostics and maintenance – direct access to the latest ZF repair and service tools.
- Mobile field service – local support delivered on-site to reduce downtime.
- Warranty authorisation – repairs carried out within ZF’s global standards.
- Training and technical expertise – ensuring workshops are up to date with emerging technologies.
With more than 3,300 partners worldwide, and over 30 in Australia, ZF’s [pro]Service network provides end-to-end coverage for the ZF product portfolio.
Damon Baffico, Head of Sales CV AM and OE Trailer Oceania at ZF, said Perth Truck Transmission Services’ appointment strengthens support for operators in Western Australia.
“Ashley and his team are ideally positioned to support bus fleets in Perth and neighbouring suburbs. As a [pro]Service partner, they can offer operators advanced diagnostics and field service capabilities to maximise uptime.”
Local Support with Global Backing
Perth Truck Transmission Services has decades of experience working with ZF transmissions in truck applications. By extending its services to buses, the business can now offer complete support for mixed fleets operating in WA.
The addition of local capability for ZF bus transmissions is a boost for fleet operators who rely on keeping vehicles on the road, particularly those running passenger services across Perth and regional areas.
