Zsuzsa Zalatnai has joined Scania Australia as its new Director of Marketing and Communications.
The highly experienced marketing professional comes to Campbellfield-based Scania after stints at Michelin and Bob Jane T-Marts, as well as diverse experience across retail industry.
“This is a very exciting time to be joining Scania Australia as the business has been growing steadily for several years and has many powerful advantages, such as safety, sustainability, and its legendary V8 engine range,” Zsuzsa says.
“I am looking forward to boosting Scania’s image in market and devising creative means to spread our brand messages within the truck industry and the wider transport and logistics world.
“Scania globally is driving the shift to a sustainable transport solution, and in Australia we already have battery electric vehicles in customer hands in both truck and bus segments. The roll out of further zero tailpipe emission vehicles and promoting market acceptance and demand for these clean vehicles as the industry transitions will be a key element of our future activity,” Zsuzsa says.
“We offer a variety of low and zero emissions vehicles which can help our customers to contribute to Australia’s march towards net zero by 2050,” she says.
“We will also be looking to increase awareness of Scania as a preferred employer in Australia, aiming to draw in new talent to support our growth across all business sectors.
“As the only heavy vehicle original equipment manufacturer to own and operate a network of capital city workshops, we employ more than 500 Australians around the country, most of whom are highly qualified diesel technicians and automotive electricians. We anticipate expanding our digital media reach to attract new talent over the medium term,” Zsuzsa says.
