Adelaide Trucks and Vans (ATV) has announced a $2 million investment to expand its fleet, adding nine new vehicles to increase delivery capacity and improve service for customers across South Australia.
The expansion lifts the company’s fleet to 60 vehicles and reflects growing demand from industries including construction, wine, timber and board, infrastructure, and general freight.
The new additions include six Fuso Canter 815 models – four tautliners and two refrigerated trucks – with the latter set to strengthen ATV’s growing role in the state’s food and beverage industry. Two 18-tonne Fuso tautliners and two truck-mounted Loadmac forklifts are also part of the upgrade, giving ATV greater flexibility for deliveries to building sites and regional customers. A new prime mover will join the fleet later this year.
Managing Director Mansij (Money) Bhan said the investment marks another step in ATV’s rapid growth since launching in 2021.
“Since launching in 2021, ATV has rapidly expanded from just one truck to become the largest supplier of rigid tray tops in South Australia,” Mr Bhan said.
“Our newest investments will significantly increase our capabilities by allowing us to better serve existing customers and capitalise on new opportunities and sectors.”
Bhan highlighted the company’s focus on regional communities, where closures of smaller operators have left gaps in service. He said the Loadmac forklifts would help ATV offer an “all-in-one solution for the efficient and safe delivery and distribution of goods and services when and where they are needed.”
Ten ATV drivers are now certified to operate the new forklifts, with more training underway.
The company said its strategy is to keep investing despite rising costs and global trade uncertainties.
“We believe it is during these times that we must continue to invest in our customers’ needs to secure our shared long-term success, even when the environment is tough,” Mr Bhan said.
All new trucks are fitted with fleet management technology to enhance safety for drivers and the goods they transport.
