Hino Australia and the Repco Supercars Championship will celebrate 10 years of partnership in 2026, marking one of the more established commercial alignments in Australian motorsport.
Since 2016, Hino has served as the Official Light & Medium Duty Truck Sponsor of Supercars and naming partner of the Supercars Recovery Team at Supercars-promoted events. Over that period, the brand’s presence has extended from on-track safety operations to broadcast integration and fan activations.
Richard Emery, President and CEO of Hino Australia, described the milestone as significant for the business.
“2026 will be one of our biggest years yet in Supercars with the Hino Hub returning for its 10th year of delivering expert analysis and strategic insight during the television broadcast,” he said.
Trackside, the double-storey Hino Sports Deck will again appear at Townsville, Bathurst, the Gold Coast and Adelaide. The 40-foot converted shipping container is transported by a Hino 700 Series SH1845 4×2 prime mover and has become a recognisable feature in event precincts.
“The Hino Sports Deck continues to be a fan favourite, appearing at Townsville, Bathurst, Gold Coast and Adelaide providing exclusive views and exciting giveaways,” Emery said.
Safety remains a core element of the relationship.
“Our involvement with the Supercars Recovery Team demonstrates our ongoing commitment to safety, both on the track and in our trucks,” he said.
At selected 2026 rounds, recovery operations will be supported by a Hino 500 Series Standard Cab and a Hino 300 Series 916 Hybrid Electric Wide Cab.
Emery said the championship provides both brand visibility and dealer engagement opportunities.
“Supercars provides an unparalleled platform to build strong national awareness while driving product engagement at a local level through on-track activation,” he said.
“We continue to see strong alignment in our customer base, and our shared commitment to safety and technology – Supercars remains a valuable program for strengthening relationships with our existing customers while connecting with new ones.
“We look forward to building on our partnership with Supercars and continuing to deliver value for fans, customers and our dealer network,” he concluded.
Supercars Chief Revenue Officer Jamie Black said the partnership had delivered tangible benefits for the category.
“Hino has been a valued partner of Supercars for a decade, and we are thrilled to celebrate this milestone together,” Black said.
“Their support has helped elevate our fan experience at the track and at home, with initiatives like the Hino Sports Deck and the Hino Hub becoming iconic features of our events.
“We look forward to continuing this exceptional partnership for many years to come,” he concluded.
Supercars and Hino will mark the anniversary throughout the 2026 season with special fan activations, content features and event experiences.
