Penske Townsville has claimed the 2025 Dealer of the Year title, taking out the platinum award as the top-performing dealership across Penske Australia & New Zealand’s truck dealer network.
The announcement was made at Penske Australia & New Zealand’s recent Truck Sales Conference, where dealerships were recognised for their performance across a detailed and highly competitive awards program.
Wideland Group and Wakefield Trucks were both awarded gold, finishing as close contenders, while Penske Brisbane (Wacol), Penske Lytton, Penske Perth, Penske Mackay, and Pengelly Trucks received silver awards.
The awards program assessed dealers against a broad range of key business metrics spanning truck sales, parts sales, service, and technical training across the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle, and Detroit brands.
George Konstantinou, Head of Dealer Capability – On-Highway at Penske Australia & New Zealand, said the company had introduced a new and more robust awards framework over the past year.
“In the last year, we have implemented a brand-new, robust award program,” said Konstantinou.
He said Penske Townsville stood out for its performance across several areas, including strong sales growth in its primary market, solid parts sales, and a clear commitment to technical capability.
“The Penske Townsville dealership delivered outstanding results, increasing its truck sales significantly within its prime market area for 2025,” he said.
“The team also demonstrated solid performance in parts sales, heavily invested in technical training of the team, and met all OEM partner training requirements.
“Achieving an outstanding net promoter score, the Penske Townsville dealership obtained strong endorsement from customers.”
Penske Townsville Dealership Manager Barry Castley accepted the award on behalf of the team and said the recognition reflected a strong year of work across the dealership.
“This is such awesome recognition for our entire Townsville team,” said Castley.
“Throughout last year, our dealership worked incredibly hard to strengthen our relationships with customers, enhance our sales process, parts and service support, and technical training capability.
“I am extremely proud of our team being recognised for all our efforts.”
